Future Hotel is a network of artists whose acts of public intervention alter all known futures. By actively subverting the present, they create a dynamic void that unexpected futures may fall into. Previous Auckland public interactions have included an audio-experience-public dance, BECKETT SAYS, an pseudo archaeological dig and sound archive SOUNDIG (touring to Perth later this year) a theatrical duologue What Have You Done to Me? The Magnificent Western Park Open will be created by Future Hotel artists, Stephen Bain, Nisha Madhan and Andrew McMillain.
Stephen Bain is director of Auckland-based Winning Productions and designer of numerous public performances, theatre productions and inter-disciplinary performances. See winningproductions.co.nz for more details.
Nisha Madha is co-founder of Future Hotel developing sound-based performance projects. Nisha is an Auckland-based actress and independent theatre producer, also collaborating with performance artists and musicians. nishamadhan.com
